Hey that's really cool! How do you make your music available for purchasing? I've had an EP for 6 years and have only ever sold them at gigs or when I've been out busking. I have individual songs too. :) more…

You sure can do something
There are easy ways to get busy with your life one way or the other, wise or foolish to escape it, and what do you think the whole world is doing. Everything they do, they do to escape boredom. They excite themselves in simple as well as strange ways and keep them busy, and excited. That's the easy way, but this more…

It is not just you, we all feel like this at one time or another. I did, so much so that we are ripping the youngest two out of school for a year to go travelling en famille from July 2010 (they will then be 11 and 15). And I have to say that we are even having fun just in the planning stages - talk to your other half, make suggestions, do some p more…

You need to pace yourself....if you intersperce the boredom in between the busy periods then it might not feel so bad......but seriously, if music is such a big part of your life then the upheaval must be unsettling.
Don't be too hard on yourself....i'm fairly fucked up...and look what you've done to Prettyintelligentprincess.....she's more…

The whole point of ambiguity is that when people are struggling or suffering in any way it is easy to make things fit! If it were rigid and structured this would not be possible. Many people see the damage we have done to this planet and know life here will soon come to an end, not because of God's wrath but because of man's greed. Some see the more…

had interesting conversation with friends in pub at weekend about religion. most of the boys in the group were saying it's been mankind's way of making sense of the world in the past to help rationalise how/why we got here, and now that we have science to provide rational thought/ideas, religion will die out in the next 500 years. my argument was more…

thank you for the invite :>> a wonderful blog
my sister (rosiebud) who's also on blog has told me that she's jealous of my 'religion', i don't see it like that, it's away of life. I've never been religious, what has run all the way through my life, knowing of somewhere else other than our life here, knowing that my family and fri more…

Darned good read. I was a choirboy at Headley Hants (just down the road from Farnham) many moons ago. Didn't resent it one bit. A few of the lads in the choir were in the Wolf Cubs too. And most of us went to school together. Such was village life in the old days. Different now I suppose. Anyway, yes, I prefer to have Faith than not to. Each to his more…

Learning anything can never be a waste of time - sure at that age you resented it but all kids do. And you not only learned something you became really good at it, your skills were honed and that is something to be glad of.
As for religion, I wish I had the faith that some people do, blind faith in something they have no proof of, being marr more…

If nothing else, there's no question that the music education you get in a church choir is second to none.

It can't be easy on your brain to moderate through several images in the mirror over a relatively short space of time. Courage is an oft used term but is apt for those who don't hide from adversity. Good luck to her! more…

Yes. It's very sad actually. I feel quite sorry for her but at the same time I don't want to feel sorry I want to feel amazed by her courage. Mixed feelings. Does bring in to question quite how identity really does work..... more…

You know my childhood was crap, my parents a waste of space to be honest and i worried when i had my daughter that i would follow in the footsteps of my selfish mother. I seem to be doing ok 10- years on though. I scream at the blonde and have stand up rows with a child - for she is as independent as they come, but I have more good days than bad more…

Based on what you've said above alone.....you would be a great parent...the trick is, based on retrospection, not to try to be a parent but to try and be yourself....you won't necessarily bring your issues to the lives of your children.....i had a fractured childhood....but i have a 17 year old son who is simply a wonderful human being.not to menti more…

I think that when it comes to love and children we just have to trust in our hearts we know what is right. No-one has a blueprint and there is no magic formula. I've been a mum for 11 years now and the partner of an amazing man for 3 years and still wonder if i 'get it right'. I doubt i'll ever know for sure, but as long as I try my best and the more…
